Lev David is
a writer and media consultant with a startlingly fresh approach to
communicating your message. The words and ideas are lean, precise &
simply unstoppable. Smacking the
mainstream media’s arse since he was 15, good enough is never good enough for
Lev. Screw ordinary. The world is
a mess of messages. Cut through. |
Lev David
is a startlingly original media mind. Born in
August, 1980, Although
he tried valiantly to lead a more ordinary life by studying economics at
university, his inventive and comic social commentary in At 21, he
was the youngest person to produce the country’s longest-running breakfast
show. He went on to produce a breakfast show for one of South Africa’s
biggest TV and radio personalities, Darren Scott, and then the most ambitious
breakfast show in South Africa’s radio history—a totally anchorless breakfast
show. Along the
way, Lev inadvertently became one of radio’s most unusual radio
personalities—with a trademark deadpan delivery and dry wit, he was once
called “the most un-radio person on radio”. Unusually,
for all his deadpan sensibilities Lev has a taste for danger—he’s broadcasted
while shark-diving (without a cage), standing on the crown of a hot-air
balloon in Durban City, and setting the African high-altitude ballooning
record along with balloonist Gary Mortimer (www.airborneadventuresafrica.com). His
appearance on a celebrity edition of The Weakest Link caused a stir for days
on national radio. Even as he
works within and alongside the commercial media, Lev has been consistently
outspoken about the sins and stupidity of the mainstream. Having
resigned from East Coast Radio in 2005, Lev continues to write occasionally
(and hilariously) for several major publications, including Lev
is also intimately involved in the development of a major TV series which,
though still under wraps, is virtually guaranteed to send South African TV
shuddering out of the grey. © 2005 Lev
